The Survivor – Hell in Paradise is a gripping reality show that throws a group of strangers into an isolated, unforgiving location where they must fend for themselves – securing their own food, water, fire, and shelter.
Produced for the first time in Romania and hosted by Dragoș Bucurenci, the show followed the raw, emotional, and physical evolution of contestants stranded on a remote island in the Philippines.
Split into two competing tribes, participants face off in physically demanding challenges for rewards and immunity. After each challenge, the losing team must vote off one of their own during the dramatic Tribal Council. Contestants are eliminated one by one… until only one remains – crowned “The Sole Survivor” and winner of the €100,000 grand prize.
The Survivor received an enthusiastic response, particularly from younger viewers, and paved the way in Romania for high-intensity reality shows filmed in extreme living conditions and exotic environments.
The show is the Romanian adaptation of the global hit “Survivor”, created by Charlie Parsons, and aired on PRO TV in 2016.
